Omantel announces auction for unique numbers from Sept 26-28

Integrated telecommunication solutions provider Omantel, in collaboration with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), is organising the fourth unique quantity auction for these interested in acquiring VIP numbers.

Customers who want to participate in the auction can log on to https://auction.omantel.om

Registration for the auction began on Sunday and will finish on September 26 at 4pm, a press release mentioned. To register, consumers have to offer their mobile numbers and e mail ids and spend a charge of RO20. The auction will start on September 26 at 4pm and finish on September 28 at 4pm. Those who participated in the earlier unique quantity auctions can reactivate their accounts and spend the charges by means of the exact same site.

Commenting on the quantity auction, Eng Ahmed Said al Riyami, basic manager of regulatory affairs at Omantel, mentioned, “We are pleased to bring the fourth edition of the unique quantity auction to organisations and people in collaboration with the TRA. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to charitable organisations.

“Since the first edition of the special numbers auction in 2017, we have noticed great demand and interest from individuals as well as organisations to take part. Participants find it a good opportunity to acquire a special number and contribute in donating to charity organisations.”
