Oman to attend UNFPA’s regional ministerial meeting in Lebanon from October 30

Addressing a press conference final week, Toson mentioned that a delegation from all Arab nations such as Oman will attend this meeting and present the achievements and challenges of nations and the challenges in relation to population and improvement concerns. “It is also important to highlight the efforts of UNFPA GCC being a sub-regional office to reach out to the government and national stakeholders ahead of the high-level ministerial meeting, through consultation meetings to provide the needed technical assistance required by the governments to prepare their own national presentations and interventions.”

The 3-day conference will take location at ESCWA-UN House, Beirut, Lebanon.

Natalia Kanem, UNFPA executive director, as nicely as Mohamed Ali Alhakim, the executive secretary of ESCWA are scheduled to attend the conference. It is anticipated that the secretary common of the League of Arab States (LAS), Ahmed Aboul Gheit, will be attending as nicely.
