Oman Society for Human Resource Management annual conference to be held from October 9-11

This year’s conference will be held below the theme ‘Tomorrow in now. Are we there yet?’, and it will supply a platform to engage and inspire the HR neighborhood in Oman and in the area.

Last year’s conference and workshops had been attended by much more than 450, with 100 regional and international participants. This year discussions and deliberations will be organised and facilitated on the ever-evolving, difficult and modern human resource landscape.

Dr Ghalib Saif al Hosni, OSHRM president, mentioned, “Over the years OSHRM has been functioning closely with market professionals to construct and nurture the developing human resource capability in the sultanate. Considering the perform location is continuing to modify and human resource management profession continues to evolve, we should concentrate on the relevant subject of ‘Tomorrow is now. Are we there yet?’.

“Work places have made incredible strides in the past few years and will continue to make progress in the coming years. This conference will give us a platform to discuss where human resource is heading in the future and the lessons we have learned and are still learning along the way. The conference will look at how automation, technology, transparency, regulation, strategy, world economy is affecting human resources management. Like last year, we are certain that the conference will receive an overwhelming response from academicians, researchers, executives and students.”

Dr Ali al Abri, OSHRM board member and head of the organising committee, added, “We are delighted to put together this conference in which a diverse group of thought leaders and practitioners will share their insights on a common platform. We invite all companies to be part of the world’s only HR summit run by an Omani HR society – combining the best in international experience with an Arab-world focus. While conference attendees will be predominantly HR professionals from a variety of levels and organisations mainly from within Oman, there will be delegates from the GCC region and other parts of the world as well. So, attendees can get set for some inspiring talks by HR professionals and academicians that complement the themes of the conference.”

Organisers mentioned the conference will bring collectively human resource professionals from across the planet to supply different insights into the ever-altering human sources management sector.
