A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of atmosphere signed among the sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, and Qatar came into impact from Monday.
The signing was marked at an occasion held below the patronage of H E Mohammed bin Salim bin Said al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, in the presence of H E Ali bin Fahd al Hajri, Ambassador of Qatar to the sultanate.
The MoU for cooperation in the field of atmosphere and conservation among Oman and Qatar was signed in Muscat in June 2016. The agreement aims to exchange experiences and info in the field of environmental protection and climate affairs and conservation of nature and biodiversity, as nicely as sharing experiences in monitoring climate adjustments.
It will also facilitate a joint environmental cooperation forum and an integrated two-year perform programme to recognize activities and locations for cooperation and market environmental awareness. It will aid the assessment of environmental impacts of industrial and improvement projects and the exchange of expertise in the field of tourism and its integration with the protection of wildlife.
