The solar-powered Mwasalat bus station, which became operational not too long ago, has been constructed with an aim to market renewable supply of power in Oman. The bus station offers the comfort of air-conditioning and it functions 100 per cent off-grid by making use of solar power. The shelter has been developed to accommodate up to 15 passengers comfortably. The bus cease enables guests to charge their cell phones and other digital gadgets via energy points making use of solar power.
