Muttrah Fort reopens following renovation

Speaking to Muscat Daily
, Sultan bin Jamil al Makhmari, acting director, Historical Site Development Department, Ministry of Tourism stated, “Muttrah Fort was officially opened to the public on June 18 (Monday). The renovation project has two phases.

We have proposed an entry fee of 500bz for those above 12 years, while for children between 6 and 12 years it will be 200bz. Tickets will be available at 100bz per person in case of large families of nine members or more.”

The fort attributes nine cannons as effectively as other weapons. Makhmari stated the view of Muttrah from the best of the fort is completely gorgeous. “People can see the sea, the mountains and the city from there.
