In order to enrich the encounter of larger education with the greatest of worldwide thoughts, Muscat University organised a public lecture titled ‘The finish of Globalisation’ presented by professor Lord Meghnad Desai, chair of the Official and Financial Institution Forum (OMFIF) Advisory board, Chairman to UK labour celebration 1986-1992, founder chairman of the Maghnad Desai Academy of Economics in Mumbai (MDAE). This public lecture counts as the initial lecture of a series of public lectures organised by Muscat University. This public lecture was aimed at raising awareness to the gains and challenges faced by globalisation and to inform the public about appropriate techniques to maximise the gains from globalisation at the national level. The lecture also explored scenarios of the future with regards to globalisation and the national authority, as effectively as the utilisation of the globe economy in the interest of the national economy.
During the lecture, Lord Desai, highlighted the notion of commission, the explosion of understanding, the communications, communication revolution and the transformation of the planet into a tiny village, as effectively as the repercussions of all that on all levels of human society: Economic, cultural, social and political.
