Muscat International Jewellery Exhibition to open on Tuesday

The premier international trade fair, which will continue for 5 days till December 15, will function a wide variety of valuable and genuine gemstones, spectacular pearls, desirable gold ornaments and fabulous diamonds.

This was announced at a press conference held at Sheraton Oman Hotel on Sunday. Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, managing director, Vega Intertrade &amp Exhibition stated, “A lot of international jewellers are participating in this exhibition. There will be good offers from jewellers. VAT [value added tax] has not been implemented here yet, so buyers at this exhibition will have an advantage.”

Besides jewellery machinery, components, tools, gear and accessories will be showcased at the trade fair from a wide variety of companies and distributors from inside and outdoors the Middle East area.

Hasssan Ramadhan Sulaiman, deputy director common, Oman Convention &amp Exhibition Centre stated, “Last year we also had international visitors, so it clearly reflects how popular this exhibition is. International companies are looking ahead to participate. Sheikha Aisha bint Khalfan bin Jameel al Sayabiyah, chairperson of the Public Authority for Craft Industries will inaugurate the exhibition.”

An essential highlight of this year’s trade fair is an chance to win a fabulous diamond watch, which will be provided to a fortunate winner by Salem al Shueibi Jewellery via a raffle draw.

Renowned for its big participation by each jewellers and shoppers, the trade fair is becoming jointly organised by Oman Convention &amp Exhibition Centre and Vega Intertrade &amp Exhibition. It has attracted businesses from across the planet, such as Oman, Lebanon, India, Qatar, Italy, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. It will be open for businesses and public from 2pm to 10pm on all days and on Friday from 4pm to 10pm.
