Muscat Gujarati Samaj, the Gujarati Wing of Indian Social Club, Muscat, lately organised the Annual Kite Flying Festival to coincide with the renowned Makar Sankranti celebrations. The occasion was held at Qurm InterCon beach and attracted a big crowd to participate in the great occasion.
The sky was practically turned into a spectacular amalgamation of colours and shapes as onlookers of all nationalities took keen interest in the proceedings.
Members as effectively as guests of all age groups participated actively in the Kite Festival and have been involved with complete enthusiasm and enjoyed the occasion.
The highlight of the occasion was the august presence of H E Indra Mani Pandey, India’s Ambassador to Oman, and Neelu Rohra, second secretary of Embassy of India, and Bakul Mehta, Ashween Dharamsey, Rajendra Ved and Arvind Toprani, president of the samaj joined the kite festival.
Convener, Chandrakant V Chothani, on behalf of MGS, conveyed sincere appreciation and thanks to all the committee members, who the occasion effective.
