On the occasion of the Muscat Festival 2018, H E Eng Mohsin bin Mohammed al Sheikh, chairman of Muscat Municipality and chairman of the organising committee of Muscat Festival 2018 stated, “Muscat Municipality has completed all technical and administrative preparations for the festival.”
The festival will continue till February 10, hoping to enrich internal tourism, he added. “The first Muscat Festival was held in 1998 at Qurum Natural Park and this year marks 20 years of the event,” stated H E Eng Sheikh.
Hundreds of vacationers are anticipated to throng the festival venues more than the 24-day period. This will be followed by the Tour of Oman cycling occasion that will be held from February 13-18. In addition to the principal venues, Amerat Park and Naseem Gardens, Oman Automobile Association premises, cultural halls and clubs also will host a quantity of activities.
Musical, theatrical and art activities will be held at the Al Madinah Theatre and Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Naseem Gardens will host a variety of educational, inventive and recreational activities for kids. The highlights of the venue contain the Family Village, Children’s Theatre and Entertainment and Arts Park.
There will also be a trade exhibition, a heritage village displaying different standard art types and cultural programmes. A quantity of government agencies also have set up their stalls in a number of components of the park. The festival will be held at Amerat Park and Naseem Gardens from four-11pm on weekdays and from 4pm till midnight on weekends. There will be fireworks show at each the venues at eight.30pm each and every day. The venues will also have devoted offices at the entrance for visitors’ help.
