The opening ceremony was held below the patronage of H E Eng Salim bin Mohamed al Nuaimi, Undersecretary in the ministry and in the presence of H E Sheikh Saif bin Himiyar al Malik al Shuhhi, Governor of Dhahirah.
The road comprising the section in Khadal location in the wilayat of Ibri to the Al Uqda location in Yanqul measures 10km. This is in addition to the 7km road from Dhahir al Fawaris roundabout to the Sayya roundabout.
Of the total 34km Ibri-Yanqul road, 22km has been opened till now. In the initial stage, four.8km of the road was opened. The road contains a total of ten roundabouts in addition to 3 pedestrian tunnels.
The Ibri-Yanqul road will be advantageous to a quantity of villages such as Al Aridh, Khadal, Majzi, Al Mahyool, Al Dhuwaihriya and Sayyi. The road is also anticipated to boost, tourism, trade and social movements in the Governorate of Dhahirah.
