MoT stated that it is preparing master plans for the governorates of Muscat, Dhofar, Dakhliyah, Musandam and South Sharqiyah. “As a result, we will stop receiving new applications for investment on government tourism lands for all governorates from April 1 to June 30,” MoT stated in its announcement.
Applications for investment on government tourism lands will be opened for the governorates of North Batinah, South Batinah, North Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Buraimi and Dhahirah from July 1, 2018. “As for Dhofar, Dakhliyah, Musandam, Muscat and South Sharqiyah, receiving of investment applications will be announced after the completion of tourism master plans for each of these governorates,” it stated.
During the period of short-term suspension of applications, the ministry will continue to evaluation all applications that it has received. “We would also like to inform that application requests for investment on private lands are not part of this announcement,” the ministry stated.
