Officials of MoT led by H E Maitha bint Saif al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary in the ministry, along with representative partners from the tourism business and Oman Air had been present at the roadshow. The interactive platform gave trade partners and travel agents in the Indian industry an chance to interact and discover much more about the diverse item offerings and experiences that Oman has to supply.
H E Maitha stated, “It offers me immense pleasure to be component of the tourism roadshow in New Delhi. The objective of the roadshow is to highlight the numerous facets of Oman as a location and to produce awareness about the new segments and offerings that the nation has to supply. Since 2014, Oman has witnessed more than 31 per cent development in Indian arrivals. In 2017 alone, Oman received 321,161 Indian guests, showcasing a development of more than seven per cent in just 1 year.
Lubaina Sheerazi, India representative of MoT, stated, “India represents an important and vast market for Oman given the high percentage of its residents willing to travel and experience new destinations across the world. She informed that Oman is not only seeing a surge in MICE travel but is also a preferred wedding location for several. “Muscat is a well-endowed city with modern infrastructure and provides a perfect set up for weddings with various urban world-class hotels.”
