The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) on Sunday launched the initial edition of Innovation Award beneath the patronage of Dr Hilal bin Ali al Hinai, secretary basic of The Research Council (TRC) and in the presence of H E Dr Muna bint Salim al Jardaniyah, Undersecretary for Technological and Vocational Education in MoM.
The award aims to spread the idea and culture of innovation, stimulate competitors amongst students of technological and vocational colleges and ministry staff.
The award aims to boost revolutionary suggestions and production primarily based on information, to transform it into a project with a tangible worth that has added worth to the national economy.
H E Dr Muna delivered a speech in which she stated that the ministry recognises the value of joining efforts in developing national capacities and advertising the culture of innovation.
The places of the award contain industrial, tourism, industrial, technical, environmental, occupational security, meals safety, style and social initiatives.
Dr Hinai stated, “We are delighted to inaugurate the Ministry of Manpower Innovation Award to develop the innovative environment in the sultanate and to train students and employees in the ministry to take leadership and innovation as a renewed work method. The award will give a significant push to students and employees for more achievements.”
