The Ministry of Manpower (MoM), in cooperation with the Public Prosecution, has launched the electronically linked project below the patronage of Hussein bin Ali al Hilali, Attorney General, and in the presence of H E Hamad bin Khamis al Amri, Undersecretary for Labour Affairs in the Ministry of Manpower.
The project hyperlinks the Ministry of Manpower’s program to the Inspection System of the Public Prosecution to aid in dealing with violation of the labour law by expatriate workforce and make sure quicker processing of instances.
Assistant Attorney General Ali bin Saif al Mamari stated, “We have initiated an electronic hyperlink with the Ministry of Manpower to facilitate the transfer of information about the workforce to the Public Prosecution and safe documents from any harm or theft.
“This is the third project linked electronically that the Public Prosecution has initiated with government agencies.
“Earlier, we had established such links with the ROP and the Public Authority for Consumer Protection.”
Mamari added that this will help in quicker transfer of information and reduce fees, particularly when contemplating the quantity of files transmitted to the Public Prosecution by the ministry annually.
“For example, the number of files transferred by the Directorate General of Labour in Salalah, reached 350 from January 1 till now. With this linkage, there will be faster transfer of data and files.”
This hyperlink is element of the efforts of the Ministry of Manpower to facilitate solutions as element of the eGovernment initiative. The ministry operates to connect with numerous government agencies to make sure the integrity of the solutions supplied.
