The opening ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs beneath the patronage of Lukas Kaucky, undersecretary in the ministry, and in the presence of a quantity of Czech personalities, Arab and foreign ambassadors, heads of religious centres, Arab communities, interested parties, academics and a big quantity of invited members of the Czech society.
The sultanate’s efforts continue to market a culture of peaceful co-existence, understanding and harmony amongst nations, cultures and peoples, respect for sacredness and human rights, emphasis on typical human values and rejection of extremism, violence and hatred.
Mohammed bin Said al Ma’amari, scientific advisor at the Office of the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, and the basic supervisor of the Message of Islam exhibition, stressed that the exhibition is a reflection of the achievement of Omani diplomacy in its efforts in the globe.
Ma’amari also discussed a functioning paper titled, ‘The Roots of Co-existence in Oman’ in which he referred to the sultanate’s great living requirements and the Blessed Renaissance beneath the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The exhibition consists of paintings and calligraphy functions. On the sidelines of the exhibition, a quantity of Omani books on cultural communication are on show. The Message of Islam exhibition was launched by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in 2010.
