Majlis A’Shura to talk about excise tax, committee plans

During its fourth annual session, Majlis A’Shura will talk about a quantity of concerns such as excise tax and plans for permanent committees, according to H E Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis A’Shura.

He stated in a statement on the occasion of the starting of the fourth annual session of the eighth term that throughout the prior sessions, Majlis A’Shura had carried out its legislative part via the joint session with the State Council.

“As for the oversight role, Majlis A’Shura has initiated activating its tools through emergency statement, interpellations and parliamentary questions or ministerial statements before Majlis A’Shura,” he added.

As for the joint session with the State Council, he pointed out that they will assessment on Tuesday the outcomes of the joint committee in between the two councils on the excise tax and write-up of distinction in between the two council so that they can talk about them at the joint session.
