Indian School Seeb celebrates annual day with grandeur and zest

The programme had risen to a greater stature due to the presence of the chief guest Mohsin Khamis al Balushi, adviser to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Public Authority for Manpower Register, the guests of honour, Dr Anchan C K, chairperson Academics, BoD and Biju Koshy, former SMC president. Ravi Jayanthy, president of the School Management Committee, other SMC members, former SMC members, parents and grandparents also graced the occasion.

The inaugural function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the guests and the audience roused up with patriotism when the choir sang the Royal Anthem of Oman followed by National Anthem of India. The choir presented a Hindi prayer song to seek the blessings of God. Gayathri Krishnan, head girl of the college, presented the welcome address. The president in his speech expressed his happiness and gratefulness in the productive march of the college on the road of progress for an additional year.

He thanked His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for rendering help to the expatriate neighborhood in the most benevolent manner. He highlighted the achievements of the college monitored transportation, which has been operating on 20 routes effectively and safely. Principal Leena Francis presented the annual report which highlighted the landmarks of the academic year in scholastic and co-scholastic locations. She recalled and thanked all the former chairmen BoD, presidents of SMC and the earlier members who have been worthy partners in the school’s journey. The cultural extravaganza commenced with the dazzling overall performance by the sweet tiny muffins of KG with a dance drama primarily based on the values of Panchatantra, which highlighted the value of imparting discipline and morals to loved ones members. This was followed by a overall performance of a band of musicians which created the crowd spellbound.

A semi classical modern dance which highlighted how light and warmth offered to us by the sun is reflected by the numerous components of earth was performed by major students.

The programme rose to a crescendo by means of a medley of dances which represented the mood of seasons. A mime with a social message of offering social help to female victims was presented which forced the audience to modify the thoughts-set. The token of recognition of purest of talents and highest of achievements was completed and all the meritorious students of class X, students with highest attendance, former SMC members who completed the tenure effectively and teachers who had completed a decade effectively have been rewarded by the chief guest and the guests of honour.

The chief guest complimented the college for playing a vital function in instilling information. He congratulated the BoD, members of the School Management Committee and teachers.

Koshy congratulated the administration for major the college to higher heights. He lauded the employees for their determination, dedication and difficult perform.
