His Majesty the Sultan began the meeting by praising Allah for the development and prosperity bestowed on Oman, attractive to Allah to continue such blessings for the nation and its citizens.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan reviewed nearby, regional and international problems.On the domestic front, His Majesty the Sultan expressed satisfaction with the efforts produced by the government and all sectors of the state to continue extensive improvement.
His Majesty the Sultan praised the completion of the new Muscat International Airport and the connectivity it gives to other international airports. His Majesty the Sultan also commended the improvement witnessed in the roads and ports sectors.
His Majesty the Sultan hailed the function of ministries in implementing plans and programmes, which have led to much more development in numerous sectors such as tourism, fisheries, mining and renewable power, thereby contributing to financial diversification. His Majesty also pointed out to the function played by the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit (ISFU) in this regard.
His Majesty the Sultan stressed the significance of partnership in between the public and private sectors in setting up projects that will produce many opportunities for Omani cadres to take up jobs.
On yet another front, His Majesty the Sultan hailed the current Oman-UK military workouts Al Shomoukh two and Swift Sword three for enhancing the capabilities of the armed forces and sharing of experiences and coaching on the most sophisticated gear.
His Majesty the Sultan reaffirmed Oman’s keenness to market understanding and dialogue amongst nations for international safety and stability.
His Majesty the Sultan also referred to several other substantial problems and gave directives to accomplish the necessary objectives. His Majesty the Sultan also wished all citizens achievement in reaching prosperity for Oman.
