The Members of the Community Outreach Committee (COC) and other faculty/employees of Higher Institute of Health Specialties (HIHS), formerly Oman Specialised Nursing Institute, have actively participated in the activity of Dar al Atta’a, an inclusive charity association that caters to the needy in the sultanate. The mentioned activity of partaking as element of the ‘World Food Day’ celebrations of the association was held in Muscat.
Many volunteers from distinct institutions and non-government organisations gathered at Omani Women’s Association workplace as the venue to sort and pack non-perishable things donated by sort hearted folks, households and distinct merchandise in the nation. This is to commemorate ‘World Food Day’ anchored on the theme, ‘giving is your likelihood to make a difference’.
The activity was led by the acting chairperson of COC Dr Ada B Bonina along with the excellent work of Amal Said al Hadi who coordinated with the association for the members to volunteer in the activity. The team represented the HIHS below the guidance of the dean Dr Manal al Zadjali. This is just a commence of the collaboration among the two institutions and HIHS is seeking forward for much more volunteering activities.
The HIHS team is thankful to Safa al Sinani, the coordinator for facilitating the members to participate in this momentous activity. As the association aims to join hands with all the elements of society to attain their vision, this will not be accomplished with out spreading and establishing the awareness of providing in the neighborhood the COC of HIHS is prepared to provide their solutions for a trigger.
