Haya Water outlines various elements of wastewater projects

The meeting was held below the patronage of Sayyid Sulaiman bin Hamoud al Busaidi, deputy secretary basic of the Council of Ministers at Sundus Rotana Hotel in Muscat.

Eng Hussain bin Hassan AbdulHussain, CEO of Haya Water, discussed the value of the wastewater projects in terms of environmental, wellness, financial and other elements.

“The business seeks to accomplish the programme objectives of the wastewater re-use project according to the schedule that was ready in advance.

“This takes into consideration the urban boom and rapid population growth in Muscat and at the same time covering other governorates according to the company’s approved master plan, which took into account the development resulting from the expansion of cities and the accelerated population growth, which directly affects the development of wilayats and associated remarkable cultural growth.”

On future projects, Eng AbdulHussain mentioned Haya Water offers utmost value to future projects, regardless of whether via extended-term or quick-term plans, primarily based on research of population density and urban improvement in the nation. Among these projects is Seeb STP – Phase two. “The project is presently in the initial stages of tendering, which aims to improve the capacity of the present STP from 62,000m3 per day to 82,000m3 per day to accommodate bigger amounts of wastewater to cope with urban and population improvement in the wilayat.

“The Ministry of Finance has approved to obtain a bank loan to finance the project,” Eng AbdulHussain mentioned.
