First Oman Women Summit concludes

The summit paid tribute and celebrated women’s achievements and accomplishments. Under the patronage of H H Sayyida Rawan Ahmed al Said, Oman Women Summit was organised in accordance with Omani Women’s Day celebrated annually on October 17 in the sultanate.

Held on October 24, the summit was attended by females achievers from Oman and across the planet, and focused on empowering females via talks and discussions. The gathering of talented females was a platform to share experiences, possibilities and challenges on the theme #Oman4Her. Senior management of Experiment Events stated, “The immensely productive summit fulfilled its objective by inspiring women to pursue their passion and dreams. We are overwhelmed with the positive feedback we have received from attendees. As a team we take great pride in the success of the first Oman Women Summit and look forward to growing this platform over the coming years.”

Zameel Ameen, director for Experiment Events, stated, “Women speakers from Oman, Italy, Sweden, Dubai, Kuwait and Bahrain inspired the gathering with their thoughts and reflections. Participants and speakers engaged in the relevant issues of the day by having meaningful discussions during the course of the summit. The summit not only assembled women achievers, but also provided attendees an opportunity to hear, connect and network with one and other. We take immense satisfaction in the fact that the summit was a huge success.”

Said al Shanfari, CEO of Oman Convention &amp Exhibition Centre, stated, “We are honoured to have hosted the Oman Women Summit in its initial edition at the Oman Convention &amp Exhibition Centre. The summit celebrated women’s achievements and showcased women’s successes at an international level. The evening kicked off with H H Sayyida Rawan’s welcome speech followed by the keynote address by Safa Abdul Rahman al Hashem, the only lady politician to be elected as Member of Parliament to the Kuwait National Assembly right after females re-gained the correct to vote.
