“The Embassy of India is organising a series of activities in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi between October 2, 2018 and October 2, 2020. It will be a two-year long affair,” stated H E Munu Mahawar, Ambassador of India to Oman.
The inaugural occasion will be held at the Grand Millennium Muscat on October two which is also commemorated as the United Nations International Day of Non-Violence. The occasion is becoming organised by the Embassy of India in association with Rajyoga Centre for Self Development.
“H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Said bin Saif al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development of Oman will be the chief guest,” the ambassador told the press on Sunday. Several other dignitaries, officials, representatives of diplomatic neighborhood as effectively as members of Indian and Omani neighborhood are anticipated to join.
Renowned motivational speaker Brahma Kumari Shivani Verma, popularly identified as Sister Shivani, will provide a unique message of peace.
Other highlights of the occasion contain release of Indian postal stamps, screening of a unique video on the life of Mahatma Gandhi as effectively as a video of devotional song Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je in the voice of well-liked singer Haitham Mohammed Rafi.
