Dr Sam elected chairman of Indian college board

Dr Sam was elected as the chairman following the internal voting held on March 26, by the members of the new board. The board comprises 15 members from the Indian neighborhood out of which 5 members are elected by the parents of Indian School Muscat students, stated a press release.

Dr Sam has been serving as a board member, in charge of the Indian schools at Ibra, Ibri, Ma’abela and Khasab as nicely as the Centre for Special Education, because April 2017.

He was re-elected as a member in the election held in January 2018, garnering the maximum quantity of votes. The Indian college board, as a governing physique, regulates the functioning of all the Indian schools in Oman which presently stands at 20 established schools and 1 new college below building.

“I am honoured to represent and lead the Indian school board towards a student-centric, holistic education. More than ever, I am committed to ensure that our children and our schools are empowered, in line with the changing times. I hope to carry forward the many successes of the present and past boards and bring the ongoing initiatives to fruition,” stated Dr Sam.

Dr Sam with diverse managerial and leadership expertise of more than 17 years, is an acclaimed enterprise management consultant and a social welfare activist involved in social enterprises and neighborhood organisations.

He is presently basic manager of the IT firm, InterTech and is also the organisation mentor for the design and style and media home, Trifoil Advertising &amp Publishing, Muscat and the director and board member of Knowledge Oman Muscat.

The new BoD will take charge on Sunday. Dr Sam will succeed Wilson George who has been serving as the chairman for the previous two terms.
