Dar al Atta’a offers uniforms, bags to more than three,000 students

The wilayats contain Adam, Al Hamra, Amerat, Bahla, Bausher, Musannah, Muscat, Muttrah, Nakhal, Nizwa, Quriyat, Rustaq, Seeb and Sohar.

Children of 52 schools in these locations benefitted from the Dar al Atta’a initiative which distributed six,372 college uniforms – two,992 dishdashas for 1,496 students, and three,380 complete uniforms for 1,690 students (two uniforms for every student).

Additionally, three,755 college supplies, costing RO26,400, and college meal coupons for two,000 needy students had been distributed.

According to Maryam al Zadjali, head of Dar al Atta’a, the association offers college supplies at the starting of every academic year to the schools it has adopted via its students’ welfare programme.

It provides clothing, college supplies, every day meals, scholarship for higher education students and preparatory classes at government schools, in further to audio-visual consultations.

The college students’ welfare programme is 1 of the initial adopted by the association in 2006 via which it offers help to much more than six,000 students yearly. Dar al Atta’a thanked all donors and supporters of the college students’ welfare programme apart from the volunteers who helped with sorting and filling the bags with the college supplies. The college bags and supplies price RO8 yearly for every student, although two uniforms price RO16.
