The very first shot, identified as the ‘Muhurat Shot’, of Papa Kehte Hain Bada Naam Karega
was filmed at the Muscat Festival venue in Amerat Park on Tuesday.

Deo created his Bollywood debut with the film Jigariyaa
. He also acted in Neelofar
and has several other films lined up.
Addressing a press gathering on Wednesday, Harleen Singh, director of the film stated, “We are pleased to film the very first shot in Muscat. Around 98 per cent of the film will be shot in Oman. We are thrilled that the very first shot was filmed at Muscat Festival in Amerat.
“Muscat Festival is a highlight in Oman’s cultural calendar and an event that features cultural, sport, and heritage activities. I am sure the actors and filmmakers who have arrived from India will enjoy the stunning locations in Oman.”
The film will capture the life of a cricket-obsessed young boy from a remote Indian town whose only aim is to grow to be a cricketer and fulfil his dream of representing the Indian national cricket team globally.
“A number of Bollywood and regional films and songs have been shot in Oman. While the audiences have been impressed with exotic locales, the authorities in Oman have been open to promoting the country as a destination for film shoots.”
He stated that the film will be shot at Bausher Sands, Amerat, Yiti, Sharqiyah Sands and Turtle Beach. The film is becoming created by Delicious Sahadevan, R Chhikara, Harleen Singh and Dr Deepak Sharma below the banner Hit Production.
The film will be dubbed in Arabic and English.
