Every year, Bank Muscat, the flagship economic solutions provider in the sultanate, celebrates and recognises the outstanding achievements of organizations that have contributed substantially to the excellence and development of electronic payments. For 4 consecutive years, Hutchison Ports Sohar has been recognised as the Best Merchant for its help of the regional card company.
Chief executive officer Albert Pang mentioned, “Hutchison Ports Sohar is honoured to be recognised as a key partner in fostering the development of innovative e-commerce tools in Oman. For our customers’ experience enhancement and convenience, payment processes like online banking and point of sale solutions will be integrated with the terminal’s web portal as well as its automated gate system. We partner with the Omani banking and financial community, so that we can make our digital platforms available to customers as soon as possible.”
Over the years, Hutchison Ports Sohar has invested a considerable quantity of time and funds into digitising perform processes at the terminal. To improve the flow of cargo and efficiency of payment, we are also implementing a landside digitisation project (LDP). Together, the LDP and electronic payment options from Bank Muscat will contribute to the additional development of e-commerce in Oman.
