Awadhi wing hosts Diwali occasion

This was the third occasion of the wing following the grand launch occasion, singing talent show Awadh Got Talent. The very anticipated occasion took location at Al Falaj Hotel banquet hall. The occasion saw the gracious presence of Rakesh Adlakha, deputy chief of Mission Indian Embassy Muscat as chief guest, and Mahesh Chaudhary, nation manager of Air India as guest of honour.

The other dignitaries present have been Babu Rajendran, basic sec of Indian Social Club, Ahmed Hakimi, Manzoor Ahmed, Liyaqat Ali and Mohd Hussain. The anchors for the evening have been Aekta Nair and Shital Kumar and the welcome speech was provided by Madhulika Gupta, co-convenor of Awadhi Wing. A thank you speech was provided by Maanas Kapoor, sports secretary of Awadhi Wing. It was an evening complete of entertainment which integrated cultural programmes, spot prizes as nicely as partying all evening.

The cultural programmes of the occasion consisted of different dance numbers by talented individuals of all ages as nicely as evergreen musical numbers. Halfway via the programmes a light-hearted humorous skit was performed to preserve the spirit going. During the programme, two raffle draws and a quantity of enjoyable spot prizes with thrilling surprises have been performed.

The programme ended with a bang, with everyone on the dance floor moving to the most recent dance hits played back to back by the DJ. The occasion was attended by big quantity of households from Indian diaspora in Oman. All the guests have been provided goody bags as a token of the festive mood. The occasion was very appreciated by all.
