The award aims to market the improvement of higher-high quality study and encourage and assistance revolutionary initiatives of people, study teams, academic researchers, organizations, and tiny and medium-sized enterprises, stated a press release.
The award comprises two categories – the Scientific Publication Category in the Field of Water and the Innovations Category in the Field of Water.
The Scientific Publication Category in the Field of Water recognises outstanding published study that addresses the challenges in the water sector. This category covers two kinds of publications: papers of PhD holders, and papers of young researchers (non-PhD holders).
The Innovations Category in the Field of Water consists of water innovation prototypes that represent tiny-scale entries in early stage technologies with realistic expectations for commercialisation, and water innovation items/solutions that represent bigger-scale entries with operational advantages or achievements. This category requires two components: Innovation and Young Innovator. The winning projects below the papers of PhD holders and young researchers are awarded RO2,000 each and every.
Under the innovation element, the winning project is awarded RO5,000, the second gets RO4,000, although the third is awarded RO3,000. For The Young Innovator section, the winning project is awarded RO1,200, the second RO1,000 and the third gets RO800.
