The RO250,000 project was funded by Jusoor, as component of the corporate social duty programme of its founding organizations, Orpic, Sohar Aluminium and Vale. The execution of the project was carried out by Jusoor Foundation in accordance with the principle of sustainability and public advantage.
The centre was constructed on an region of 1,200sq m and was component of a series of social projects carried out by Jusoor Foundation in cooperation with MoSD.
The centre has currently begun pre-enrolling for this academic year.
The centre offers a quantity of educational, cultural and mental improvement programmes for kids with particular requirements in the age group of 1 to 14 years. It is aimed at rehabilitating them psychologically and physically.
The centre’s rehabilitation programmes deal with all mental disabilities and also supply physical therapy programmes for kids with autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy. The Al Wafa Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped Children in Liwa is component of a series of sustainable social project adopted by Jusoor Foundation to help wellness sector in the sultanate and individuals with disabilities.
