The competitors, in its seventh edition, will see 924 student participants.
The programme has been created for university students from all governorates in Oman. It seeks to encourage them to commence entrepreneurial ventures and to assistance optimistic attitude as they discover their future profession aspirations.
The programme provides a distinctive studying expertise for undergraduate students, assisting them establish their personal organizations and engage in entrepreneurship.
The programme provides a studying expertise that enables and enhances numerous expertise, which complement and enrich the students’ efficiency in their academic education. The organizations participating in the programme will compete for a number of awards whose objectives highlight the fundamentals of enterprise and the globe of entrepreneurship.
The participants will discover their capabilities, establish genuine organizations, and strengthen the national economy of Oman. The programme is supported by a number of private sector organizations.
Injaz Oman not too long ago launched a series of workshops referred to as ‘Kaif’. These workshops are held for the very first time in the area, targeting the participants of the University Student Company Programme.
The workshops engage students with private entrepreneurs as presenters of these workshops, which will be on educating the students at the stages of establishing, managing, and top an actual business.
Khaula al Harthy, executive director of Injaz Oman, stated, “University Student Company Programme plays an effective role in spreading the culture of entrepreneurship in Oman. The workshops are a new addition to the company’s programme. The idea of Kaif workshops is to create a positive impact and to reduce the gap between the students’ academic knowledge and the skills required in the labour market by engaging with reliable entrepreneurs.”
She added, “The University Student Company Programme is one of our most successful programmes. Through it, we will discover and highlight the talents and capabilities of Omani youth that we are proud of. We expect a great success to this addition and hope we get new innovative ideas.”
With the assistance and guidance of volunteer-consultants from the nearby enterprise neighborhood, the University Student Company Programme competitors offers university students with the chance to commence, organise, and operate actual enterprising organizations in their nearby communities. In performing so, students from diverse academic backgrounds find out about genuine life enterprise procedures and functions, the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship, and the contribution that entrepreneurs make to the economies and societies of the MENA area.
