From the sultanate, 12 students are participating in the forum from the disciplines of science, technologies, mathematics and engineering, stated a press release.
The students had been chosen primarily based on their projects which had been picked from 30 projects submitted by a quantity of greater education institutions below the Faculty Mentored Undergraduate Research Award Program.
Oman’s students are participating in a quantity of scientific lectures and field visits to a quantity of analysis centres, industrial institutions, and a quantity of colleges and scientific institutes. They consist of Imperial College London, London University College, the Royal Institute, London Wetland Centre, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, in addition to the British National Space Centre, the National Oceanography Centre and the British Geological Survey.
Through LIYSF, TRC aims to construct the capacity of young Omanis to expand their understanding in the region of science and technologies by means of their exposure to workshops, lectures and visits to UK’s top universities, such as Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College. They also get the chance to attend lectures of top international scientists from about the planet and go to top laboratories and institutes, such as Airbus and Rolls Royce.
