Workshop assesses health information system

The workshop is becoming held as component of the ongoing cooperation in between the sultanate, Ministry of Health (MoH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to create the health solutions along with the country’s health information system (HIS).

Dr Sultan bin Yarub al Busaidi, advisor for Health Affairs at the MoH, inaugurated the workshop in the presence of H E Dr Ali Talib al Hinai, Undersecretary for Planning Affairs at MoH, as effectively as WHO representative in the sultanate, Dr Akjemal Magtymova.

Officials from MoH and other relevant HIS stakeholders also attended the occasion. The workshop aims at underlining the present statutes and important challenges that resulted from the field visits carried out by the WHO-EMRO team in order to recognize successes and prospective places of improvement in the national health information system, setting up feasible options.

Furthermore, it aims at addressing health information policy for the health system as effectively as information collection and analysing mechanism.

The occasion also highlights WHO’s part in supporting and strengthening HIS in the Eastern Mediterranean Region as effectively as mechanism of reviewing the HIS in the sultanate.

During the very first day of the workshop, the going to WHO-EMRO delegation explained the assessment tools and outcomes. The second day will assessment most relevant developments in HIS and forming a activity force to decide priorities for system improvement and building a Health Development perform strategy.
