MoCI directs efforts towards making khareef a success

The khareef season starts on June 21 and ends on September 21 each and every year. As components of its duty, the ministry leaves no stone unturned to make the season a success at a time when the demand for goods and solutions increases due to influx of vacationers from inside the sultanate and abroad.

Jamal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed al Hinai, director common of Commerce and Industry in Dhofar mentioned, “These efforts of the ministry are aimed at making all goods, commodities and solutions obtainable in the governorate throughout khareef season.

“Commercial activities increase by 300 per cent during the season in Dhofar. It is natural that during this period the demand for goods and services increases.”

He mentioned that MoCI held a quantity of meetings with the government organisations concerned with the khareef season 2019 to go over its preparedness.

Hinai mentioned that organisations have been asked to make certain all kinds of goods and solutions such as foodstuff, money solutions in banks, transport is obtainable throughout the khareef season.

Monitoring organisations of the job marketplace such as the Ministry of Manpower would also do their perform throughout the season.

He mentioned that MoCI was not only interested in making all consumables obtainable in the markets and industrial complexes but also wanted to make certain that they are secure and wholesome.
