The inaugural function at the Indian Embassy auditorium will be followed by an exhibition of photographs which will be open to the public from 5pm to 9pm.
The exhibition will showcase the beauty of Oman’s landscapes and its remarkable culture. The show will have a collection of 49 photos clicked by 49 distinct photographers to honour the 49th year of the Blessed Renaissance.
The thought of ISCPG was initiated as a continuation of the activities of Friday Shoot Out (FSO), Muscat which is 1 of the most active photography groups inside the sultanate.
Originally founded in November 2012 by 4 pals who had a frequent passion for photography, the group grew quickly into a camaraderie of 350 plus active contributors with a passionate social media following of more than four,000 on the internet members. During the final seven years, FSO Muscat has effectively performed more than 250 events about the nation, exploring a lot more than 75 distinct areas in its weekly photowalks apart from effectively organising photography workshops, big scale exhibitions, on the internet competitions and publication of a coffee-table book.
ISCPG will also conduct a Basic Photography Workshop at 3pm on Friday.
Suhail Khan, entertainment secretary at ISC stated, “After successfully launching singers, fine arts and poetry groups, we are launching the photography group. I am sure many amongst us who have passion for photography will benefit by being part of the activities of the group.” For registration dial 93891525 or 99022951.
