Speaking to Muscat Daily, Mahir Talib Salim al Waheedi, human sources manager, Huawei Oman, mentioned, “Huawei in cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower started internship programme in 2014. A group of Chinese experts attended today [Wednesday] to train 25 students who are from universities and colleges in the sultanate.”
Huawei supports the students by paying them month-to-month allowances ranging from RO250 to RO280. The firm also offers them with wellness insurance coverage.
Waheedi added, “The internship programme is developed for new university graduates who have specialised in the engineering field. It aims to help Omani university graduates in pursuing a profession inside the region’s developing telecommunications business. Through this internship programme each and every quarter Huawei Oman trains about a batch of 25 talented students with hands-on encounter in the newest tools and technologies in the ICT planet.
“It provides students a range of possibilities including a chance to learn, adapt and grow in a fast-paced professional environment with mentoring from leaders in Oman’s telecom sector. At the same time, the curriculum will enhance participants’ soft skills and promote a fully-rounded learning environment for aspiring professionals.”
