Visitors can also opt for overnight camping at the park. The two-day programme will commence on Wednesday.
Located 57km from the wilayat of Sur, Al Saleel Nature Park is spread more than an location of 220sq km, and is predominantly covered by forests of acacia trees. The park is residence to a quantity of uncommon species such as the Arabian gazelle, the Omani wild cat (Al Senmar) and other animals which have created this atmosphere their residence, such as the red fox, the Egyptian eagle and other people.
Speaking to Muscat Daily, Majid al Khanbashi, a specialist in nature reserves and supervisor of the programme at Al Saleel Nature Park, stated, “The programme will include many events such as safari in the park. Three trips will be available daily at 7.30am, 9am and 4pm for an hour. The visitors will be able to see birds and wild animals such as deer and some reptiles. “Visitors can also see some local wild plants such as Sidr and Sumer trees. There is also an exhibition that displays all the information related to Al Saleel Nature Park and its animals and plants. The programme will also include camping for two days from 6pm to 8am. All these events are free.”
