On March three, H E Toshinori Kobayashi, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman, hosted a reception at his residence in cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It was attended by H E Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and other ex-participants of JICA coaching programmes.
H E Kobayashi delivered a welcoming speech and spoke about the technical cooperation with the sultanate effectively implemented by JICA.
It is worth mentioning that JICA commenced its technical cooperation programme with Oman in the late 1970s.
Since then, the Government of Japan has invited a huge quantity of Omani specialists from government authorities such as Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and so on, to participate in wide ranging coaching courses performed by JICA, as effectively as advertising a bilateral partnership in between Japan and the sultanate.
JICA has dispatched much more than 150 specialists to the sultanate in several various fields because 1986.
