Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman and managing director of ATN Bangla Limited, stated, “We plan to use some of the best minerals of Oman for constructions along Padma Bridge, Matarbari’s deep sea port and other places. We also plan to take boulders weighing 10kg to 50kg from Oman for their excellent quality and durability.”
Dr Rahman who was in the nation lately met possible suppliers and professionals in the field. The export from Oman will commence by the year finish, he stated.
Owner of a well-liked Television channel in Bangladesh, Dr Rahman also plans to shoot in Jebel Akhdar. He also plans to have annual musical evening shows referred to as ATN Bangla Nights which will invite Bangladeshi talents.
“Music is a strong factor that unifies people irrespective of community and nationality. I have surveyed the Bangladeshi and Omani communities here closely and have been pleasantly surprised with the large pool of talents. Local singers and artistes like Emdad Bachchu are hidden talents in Oman. By October we will conduct shows every year,” he stated.
“I really like the mountains and seas and so I program to shoot six of my songs in these locations. They are
usually sad and romantic songs and these landscape will be apt for the scene. My favourite singers are Manna Dey, Syamol Mitra and Mohammad Rafi and my songs are inspired by their singing style,” stated Dr Rahman.
