70 CEOs to talk about cyberthreats, damages

The Information Technology Authority (ITA) will be organising a seminar on Critical National Infrastructure Cybersecurity Protection at Hormuz Grand Muscat on Tuesday. The occasion will be held beneath the patronage of Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, secretary basic in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As numerous as 70 CEOs representing vital infrastructure organisations in Oman are attending the seminar that aims to recognize the most crucial safety threats and highlighting the significant harm and losses resulting from them.

Measures, precautions and options to deal with the dangers of cyberspace will also be addressed. The seminar will also recognize the vulnerabilities and safety gaps in infrastructure institutions and essential sectors in the sultanate. The encounter of Britain in the protection of national vital infrastructure will also be showcased.

The seminar will also talk about cooperation among the Information Technology Authority and the National Cyber Security Centre in the UK.
