As part of its efforts to boost tourism, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has set up 12 information centres in different parts of Oman.

These centres are positioned at Muscat International Airport, Al Darah outlet in Khasab, Khasab Port, Dibba Port, Port Sultan Qaboos, Al Wajajah outlet in Shinas, Wadi al Jizzi outlet in Buraimi, Hufait outlet in Buraimi, Tiwi al Sa’ada in Jebel Akhdar in Nizwa, Salalah Airport in Dhofar and Sohar Airport.

The centres have ministry representatives supplying information about tourist attractions, solutions offered in the regions as nicely as security suggestions.

Representatives distribute maps and brochures about the regions. They also provide information associated to tourism solutions, fuel stations, hotels, and archaeological web sites. The ministry stated that much more than 1.6mn folks visited Oman in 2018, boosting domestic tourism in the nation.
