A top consultant of the Ministry of Health (MoH) has been appointed as the WHO Regional Director for Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa.

Dr Ahmed bin Salim al Mandhari, senior consultant doctor and director common of Quality Assurance Centre in MoH has been appointed by the Executive Board of World Health Organization, following his candidacy for this post at a particular session of the Regional Committee for Eastern Mediterranean.

He has been appointed for a period of 5 years and eight months beginning from June this year. Dr Mandhari mentioned that he is seeking forward to making certain that nations in the area have a powerful wellness method via which members of the neighborhood take pleasure in solutions that meet their wants.
