Tie-ups with elite varsities bring foreign students to sultanate: OAAA

The sultanate encourages Omani greater education institutions to establish cooperation with other greater education institutions for specified purposes, such as analysis, benchmarking and sharing sources, as effectively as student and employees exchange.

The sultanate has adopted an method of sustainable improvement polices according to which greater education institutions are needed to have academic affiliation with elite foreign universities. This affiliation ought to contain study programmes and high quality assurance.

As a outcome of this method, several Omani students studying at Omani greater education institutions get their university qualification from foreign universities.

OAAA talked about in a statement about sultanate coming second on the Arab level and 22 at the globe level at the Sustainable Development Policies Index of the British Council in London report titled, ‘The Shape of Global Higher Education’.

These foreign qualifications are authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) in the sultanate as it is the case with the qualifications granted locally. These qualifications are appreciated by neighborhood employers in the public and private sectors, OAAA mentioned.

The statement noted that OAAA promotes international efforts created to improve excellence in greater education.
