Sur desalination plant renews ISO certification

The ISO certification ceremony of Sur desalination plant was presided by H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahil bin Salem Shamas, Governor of South Sharqiyah. Sur Desalination Plant has been in operation given that October 2009, and has inaugurated its extension about two years ago. It is the primary supply of freshwater for North and South Sharqiyah. The plant utilizes reverses osmosis technologies, and is pumping the seawater partially from beach wells and partially from a direct seawater intake.
