H H Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, unveiled the design of sultanate’s pavilion for Expo 2020 under the theme, ‘Oman - Chances Throughout Ages’ on Sunday. Sayyid Haitham who is also the head of the Main Ministerial Committee in-charge of preparing for the sultanate’s participation at Expo 2020 said that the design is in keeping with country’s master plan of the pavilion.

Sayyid Haitham unveils Oman’s pavilion design and style for Expo 2020

H H Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, unveiled the design and style of sultanate’s pavilion for Expo 2020 below the theme, ‘Oman – Chances Throughout Ages’ on Sunday. Sayyid Haitham who is also the head of the Main Ministerial Committee in-charge of preparing for the sultanate’s participation at Expo 2020 mentioned that the design and style is in maintaining with country’s master program of the pavilion.

The occasion, to be hosted by Dubai will be held from October 20, 2020, till April 10, 2021. The design and style was chosen and authorized by the principal ministerial committee in its final meeting. Sayyid Haitham mentioned that the choice came in line with the method of the organising committee for the expo.

The master program for the pavilions will have Arab and Islamic architectural engineering and utilise Omani architectural motifs in a contemporary style.
