Sayyid Haitham meets Belarusian minister cooperation pact signed

An official session of talks was held in the course of which a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in locations of heritage and culture. An MoU will be signed on Monday among the National Museum in the sultanate and the Belarusian National History and Culture Museum.

The meeting was attended by H E Sheikh Hamad bin Hilal al Ma’amari, Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs in the Ministry of Heritage and Culture (MHC), and H E Salim bin Mohammed al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary for Heritage Affairs in MHC.

An exhibition themed, ‘Belarus at the Crossroads of Civilised Communication’ will be opened at the National Museum on Monday beneath the auspices of Sayyid Haitham and the Belarusian Minister of Culture.

The exhibition, which is the very first international exhibition to be hosted by the National Museum, comes inside the framework of the current cooperation among Oman and Belarus.

The exhibition will continue till July two. It aims to strengthen the historic ties among Belarus and the Islamic globe and affirm the principle of peaceful coexistence of the Belarusian folks with other people in the area, as effectively as an affirmation of values of tolerance.

The Belarusian National History and Culture Museum is complete of several intriguing details that affirm the historical ties among Belarus and the Arab and Islamic worlds in a manner that reflects the depth of ties, which had been established among the East Slavs and the Islamic caliphate through old trade routes among the north and the south.
