Sayyid Fahd attends Arab Summit

The summit discussed the Palestinian problem, the Arab-Israeli conflict, problems in Syria, Libya and Yemen, in addition to measures taken to combat terrorism and the financial and social cooperation amongst Arab states.

The Omani delegation comprised Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Dr Adbullah bin Mohammed bin Said al Sa’eedi, Minister of Legal Affairs and Sheikh Mohammed bin Said bin Saif al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development and government officials.

Leaders also discussed plans to hold an Arab cultural summit and the Arab Summit dates in 2019. The summit reviewed trade and investment matters, the Arab method to meet water challenges, the second phase of the Arab emergency meals safety programme and the Arab agreement for the exchange of info on plant and heritage sources.

The summit was attended by Arab leaders, as nicely as a quantity of representatives of regional and international organisations, led by the UN secretary common António Guterres as nicely as the African Union Commission chairman Moussa Faki, the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, in addition to Steven De Mistura, the UN’s envoy to Syria.
