PDO gives 30 computer systems to new lab at Al Nadwa Public Library in Bahla

As component of Petroleum Development of Oman’s (PDO’s) efforts to assistance educational initiatives across the sultanate, the business has offered 30 computer systems to the newly established pc lab at Al Nadwa Public Library situated in Bahla in Dakhliyah Governorate.

The donation will enable a lot more customers to additional improve their understanding by means of analysis in the library, which won the Sultan Qaboos Award for Voluntary Work in 2012. The library is currently residence to the initial ‘PDO Corner’ which was established in 2017, exactly where info about the business and the oil and gas market can be identified.  PDO is also sponsoring a summer season programme at Bahla Sports Club entitled ‘Saifi Ghair’ for the second time in a row. The Saifi Ghair summer season programme aims to increase the understanding and abilities of college students. This year the programme will target 120 young male and female students from class 10 to 12 by offering vocational coaching in electronics, pipe fitting and air conditioning (AC) upkeep, and decorating and cookery abilities. All students will also undergo a fundamental English course to improve their language abilities.

PDO’s external affairs and communications manager, Mohammed al Ghareebi, mentioned, “PDO is committed to supporting local communities with targeted social investments to address specific needs that add value to the communities’ lives. We have no doubt that the donated computers and the youth summer training programme will have a positive impact on the PC users and trainees alike.”
