Over 150 universities attend greater education exhibition

Over 150 universities, colleges, instruction institutes and connected organisations have gathered to supply greatest possibilities to students more than the course of 3 days. The opening ceremony of Ghedex and Trainex was held below the patronage of H H Sayyida Dr Muna bint Fahd al Said, assistant vice chancellor for International Cooperation, Sultan Qaboos University.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Sayyida Dr Muna stated, “I thank the organisers of this event. I wish that all students benefit from this exhibition because there are plenty of opportunities offered to them .We’re taking big steps. The most important thing at the moment is competitiveness. To that end, we’re getting the necessary accreditation to ensure high quality. I think this is really raising the standards and we wish to see continued improvement and development.”

She added, “A lot of programmes have been internationally accredited. Other universities are following our footsteps. There are scholarships both nationally and internationally. There are many chances as long as students get the required grades. The number of students we’re supporting with their master’s and doctorates is increasing.”

Supported by each the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Manpower, this year’s events are hosting participants from Oman and more than 20 various nations from about the planet, which includes the United States, France, Germany, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Poland, Russia, Cyprus, Egypt, Bahrain, the UAE, India, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
