Oman Tourism College, in collaboration withMinistry of Tourism launched an event series to raise awarenesson Oman’s thriving tourism sector amongst youth. The event was attended by 53 school students, where it delivered of an inspiring and informative introduction on the careers available across Oman’s rapidly developing industry.

OTC holds tourism awareness programme

“OTC was immeasurably pleased to see that most attendees were very interested in tourism. We were genuinely surprised how much students knew about it, specifically what is going on at a local and a national level. The changing perspective and attitudes of Omani society continue to be recognized and celebrated as new horizons dawn for local youth,” mentioned Dr Abdulkarim Al Mughairi, Dean of OTC.

The Ministry of Tourism enriched youngsters’ viewpoint at the occasion by delivering components with information on nearby developments and the prosperous nature of employability across the business for young Omanis. Schools in attendance of the occasion integrated grades 10 to 12 from Hail Alawamir School, and grades 9 and 12 from Baraka bint Thaalabah.
